Quick Update

Time is flying by so fast. I am taking tests like crazy right now...they are trying to cram things down our heads. My white coat ceremony is Feb. 16 in Auburn, which is super exciting. The Alabama Veterinary Assoc come down and gives us our official white jackets. It happens to coincide with my mom's 50th and my sister's 21st birthdays, so we are doing a big family night out. Ryan has been coming to Auburn every weekend....I am so lucky. He helps me around my house, and takes care of the children while "mommy" studies. I truly am the luckiest girl. Great hubby, great career, great family, and great friends...I can't complain.

Merry Christmas

Ryan and I would like to wish everyone a very merry christmas!!! We are at home in Huntsville doing our traditional things. We watch It's A Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve and open a present. This is our first Christmas as a married couple and in our first home. We are so excited and so lucky. I only have 2 more months left of lectures, and then I start rotations. I take my boards in a year, and graduate shortly after. Ryan is doing great in his job, and keeping our house looking great. We are headed up to Canada in a couple days to have fun with our wonderful family and play in the snow. Ryan got Erin some very cute UGGS for the occasion, so we are ready for some fun.

Erin enjoyed a fun day with the girls yesterday, filled with lunch and shopping. I love my friends in Auburn, but wish I could bring my Huntsville girls down there with me. I hope to see the rest of them before we leave for Canada.

Our children (animals) are doing great, and keep us entertained until we decide it's time for children. This is always a discussion in our household. Erin thinks 4 years from now would be ideal, and gives her enough time to establish clients and work for awhile. Ryan would like it to be sooner. I think it's an age issue, but shhhhhhhh don't tell him I said that.

We really hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas and New Years filled with love and laughter.

Erin and Ryan

Ryan and I finally decided it was time to get with the program, and keep people updated. So far life is busy as usual. I am in my 3rd year at Auburn's College of Veterinary Medicine, so school consumes my life. I am planning on working on small animals, with a special interest in radiology and neurology. Ryan lives in our precious home in Huntsville, and works as a cost accountant at Benchmark Electronics. I miss him more than words could ever say, but to tell the truth, I don't have time for anything but school, so it works out well. I have completed my second surgery solo, and so far things are going great. I am doing so well in school, and I can't believe God is giving me the chance to do what I have always wanted to do. I miss my best friend (Ryan of course) so much, but we have become so close as a couple over the past couple years. Absence can make the heart grow fonder. We were just talking tonight about how much we appreciate our love and relationship. It is amazing!!! Tonight we are chillin on the couch at my finely manufactured home and watching hockey...what else. Tomorrow we are enjoying a day of fun at Six Flags. We thought we should resort back to our younger days, and get out of Auburn. Other than that, we both work out and run daily, and I am obsessed with cleaning. We talk constantly about all the things we want to do when i'm done with school, and all the fun places we want to go. We have both developed a wonderful relationship with God, and continue to grow with our church, and look forward to serving God in any way He wants.
